FAQ

Beginning in early spring for the upcoming academic year, financial aid offers are released on a rolling basis to students admitted to PBA who have filed their FAFSA and included PBA as a designated school. Most students can expect to receive their financial aid offer within a few weeks of completing both steps.

Living on campus at PBA is a vibrant, community-centered experience where students build meaningful friendships and grow both academically and spiritually. Residence halls are designed to help students feel at home while staying connected to campus life. Incoming students are encouraged to visit campus to tour a residence hall before move-in, either during a scheduled visit or at one of PBA’s preview events.

While there is no formal orientation, Welcome Week takes place the weekend before the fall semester and is designed to help new students feel confident and connected as they begin their time at PBA. During Welcome Week, new students have the opportunity to meet classmates, participate in fun activities, and prepare for the semester ahead.

PBA offers a variety of meal plan options designed to fit students’ schedules and preferences. Plans include access to our on-campus dining facilities, along with flexible options such as flex cash and meal exchanges. All traditional undergraduate students are required to have a meal plan, and details can be found on our campus dining page (https://pba.mydininghub.com/en).

Residential students admitted to PBA as freshmen (including freshmen with completed credit hours) are not eligible for on-campus parking permits in their first year of study. This is to ensure that sufficient parking is available for commuter students and students in their second year or beyond who live on campus. To serve our freshmen students who desire to bring a car to West Palm Beach, PBA’s neighbors at One Parking offer a discounted rate in parking garages at City Place, a favorite of PBA students for shopping, dining, and more. PBA students receive a discounted rate of $95 a month. We’ve polled some of our current PBA students who frequently walk to City Place and they’ve reported that it takes about 13 minutes to get to the garage on foot and/or they use West Palm Beach’s Ride Circuit option.

There are many ways to get involved at PBA! Students can join from more than 50 clubs and organizations, participate in campus ministries, serve in the community through Workship, attend campus wide events, and take on leadership roles. Whether students’ interests are academic, social, or service-oriented, there’s a place for them to connect and grow.

PBA offers a variety of on-campus employment opportunities in areas such as Student Life, dining services, and more, available to both Federal Work-Study eligible students and those who are not. These roles provide a great opportunity for students to gain experience, build relationships, and earn income while balancing their academic schedules.

The housing application opens in the spring. Room assignments are prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage students to submit their enrollment deposit as soon as they make a decision in order to receive priority during selection.

In the spring, PBA’s Student Success Team will create first-semester schedules for new students who have submitted their enrollment deposit and completed the Course Registration Form. Students’ Course Registration Form responses, official transcripts, and any AP or CLEP scores will be used to build a schedule based on credits they may have already earned.

When applying to PBA, students who have attempted or earned 12 or more college credits after graduating from high school are considered transfer students. High school seniors, whether they have earned college credits during high school or not, should apply using the freshman application. Once admitted, the Admissions team will evaluate freshmen students’ dual enrollment coursework and apply any eligible credits toward their degree.

While not initially required for admission to PBA, letters of recommendation are encouraged and can strengthen an application.
